From hands-on cleanups to essential fundraising efforts, our events bring the community together to protect and preserve this incredible natural resource.
Dollars for Dumpsters Fundraiser
Date: August 9th, 2025 @ 4 pm
Location: The Wallace Inn
Our annual Dollars for Dumpsters fundraiser is one of the most important events of the year.
This effort directly funds the placement and maintenance of dumpsters at popular river access points — keeping trash out of the water and off the shoreline. Every dollar raised helps cover the rising costs of hauling and disposal, ensuring there are clean, accessible options for visitors to leave no trace.
Whether you’re a local business, weekend visitor, or lifelong resident, this is your chance to chip in and make a real difference for the river. Keep an eye on our social channels and posters around town for event details, raffles, and donation opportunities.
Tire Clean-Up Day
Each year, volunteers of all ages gather for our Tire Clean-Up Day, one of the most physically demanding — and rewarding — efforts we organize. Old tires are often dumped along the river or swept downstream over time. They’re heavy, toxic, and damaging to the ecosystem. With boats, trucks, and sheer manpower, we haul them out of the water and off the banks, one by one.
We provide gloves, tools, and good vibes — all we need is you. It’s a dirty job, but one that
makes a visible impact.
Shoshone County Search & Rescue River Safety Day
We’re proud to partner with Shoshone County Search & Rescue to raise awareness and support for river safety. This event highlights the risks that come with enjoying the river and how to stay safe while floating, fishing, or swimming.
The event also helps raise funds for critical rescue gear — including specialized dive equipment used in swift water recoveries. It’s a great opportunity to meet the brave volunteers who keep our community safe and to show your support for their work on and off the water.
